For the Sushi Bake
  • ½ lb Imitation Crab Soft, tender, and easy to mix.
  • ¼ cup Japanese Mayo Creamy and tangy, enhancing the richness of the dish.
  • 1 tbsp Ponzu Sauce Citrusy and salty, adding a unique twist.
  • 2 tbsp Cream Cheese Smooth and luscious.
  • 2 tbsp Masago A burst of ocean flavor with a nice pop.
  • 2 cans Tuna (soaked in oil) Juicy and tasty, providing a savory base.
  • 3 tbsp Japanese Mayo Adding another layer of creaminess.
  • 1 tbsp Korean Chili Paste Spicy with a hint of sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp Cream Cheese For an extra creamy texture.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper To add a mild kick.
  • Rice The perfect sticky complement to hold it all together.
  • Sushi Seasoning Aromatic and sweet, elevating the rice to sushi perfection.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cooking the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, combine the rice with sushi seasoning to infuse it with flavor.
  2. Spread a generous layer of the seasoned sushi rice on the bottom of your baking dish, ensuring an even surface for the toppings.
  3. Sprinkle masago evenly over the sushi rice, introducing a pop of flavor and texture to every bite.
  4. Next, sprinkle some furikake on top of the masago for an additional crunch and flavor.
  5. Divide the creamy crab filling on one side of the dish and the spicy tuna mixture on the other.
  6. Generously drizzle more Japanese mayo over the toppings and add another sprinkle of furikake for that signature taste.
  7. Place the dish under the broiler for 3-5 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve hot alongside crispy seaweed for an authentic touch.

Notes

You can prepare the rice and mixes the night before. Adjust spice levels to suit your taste, and consider adding avocado or cucumber for extra freshness.
