Ingredients

For the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil This aromatic oil adds a nutty richness.
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced) Provides aromatic base.
  • 1 large Green Onion (finely chopped) Adds fresh notes and a refreshing crunch.
  • 2 tbsp Gochujang Korean chili paste that contributes deep, spicy sweetness.
  • 2 cups Milk Forms a luscious sauce that envelops the noodles.
Noodles and Toppings
  • 170 grams Instant Ramen Noodles (2 x 85g packs) Soft and chewy noodles.
  • 1.5 cups Mozzarella Cheese (grated) Creates a wonderful cheesy pull.
  • 2 large Fried Eggs (optional) Adds a crispy edge to the dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle in the sesame oil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and finely chopped green onion. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the gochujang and stir to combine. Pour in the milk and mix until the gochujang is fully dissolved. Simmer gently.
Cooking
  1. Place the two ramen bundles into the simmering sauce. Cook for about a minute per side, loosening the noodles as they soften.
  2. Once tender, add the grated mozzarella cheese and stir well until melted.
Serving
  1. Plate your cheesy ramen immediately, adding a fried egg on top if desired. Enjoy while hot!

Notes

For variations, try other cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack. Allow the sauce to simmer longer for richer flavors, and consider adding cooked chicken, tofu, or vegetables.
