Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Begin by greasing the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the frozen diced potatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic salt, and finely diced onions. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Cooking
- Transfer the mixture into the greased slow cooker. Cover and set it to HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
- Be sure to mix halfway through the cooking process.
Finishing Touch
- Once the cooking time is up and the potatoes are fork-tender, turn off the slow cooker.
- Remove the lid and sprinkle on the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover again for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a dash of black pepper or your favorite spice blend. This dish can be made a day in advance; simply store it in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
