Main Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 ounces) Adds a rich base for flavor.
  • 1 cup sour cream Brings a delightful tang to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt Amplifies the dish's savory notes.
  • 1/2 cup onion (finely diced) Adds depth and sweetness.
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded, divided) Melted cheese provides a gooey finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by greasing the bottom of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the frozen diced potatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic salt, and finely diced onions. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the mixture into the greased slow cooker. Cover and set it to HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
  2. Be sure to mix halfway through the cooking process.
Finishing Touch
  1. Once the cooking time is up and the potatoes are fork-tender, turn off the slow cooker.
  2. Remove the lid and sprinkle on the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover again for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
