Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until it forms a fragrant paste.
  4. Coat drumsticks generously with the olive oil mixture, massaging the spices in for even coverage.
Cooking
  1. Place the drumsticks in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  2. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through after 10 minutes.
  3. In the last few minutes, baste with BBQ sauce, flip, and baste the other side. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Serving
  1. Remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and add more BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the drumsticks in the oil and spice mixture for a few hours or overnight. Experiment with different spices like cumin or chili powder. Make sure there's enough space in the air fryer for best results.
