Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb lean ground beef This will form the hearty base of your tacos.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds an aromatic depth to the beef mixture.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the savory taste.
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper For a touch of heat and flavor enhancement.
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese Creamy, melted cheese essential for that cheeseburger experience.
  • 6 pieces flour tortillas (fajita size) Soft and pliable, perfect for wrapping.
  • ketchup Adds a sweet and tangy kick.
  • mustard A little sharpness to balance the flavors.
  • mayonnaise Adds creaminess.
  • shredded lettuce For a crispy, fresh crunch.
  • relish or chopped pickles Adds a zesty finish.

Method

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully cooked and no longer pink. Break it apart as it cooks to ensure even browning. Drain off any excess fat, then return the beef to the skillet.
Flavoring the Beef
  1. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir constantly until the cheese melts and envelops the beef.
Assembling the Tacos
  1. Take the flour tortillas and distribute the beef mixture evenly across them.
  2. Garnish your tacos with ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise as desired. Top off with shredded lettuce and a dollop of relish or chopped pickles.
  3. Serve the cheeseburger tacos immediately while warm and gooey, with extra toppings on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, add diced tomatoes or onions to the meat mixture. Try different types of cheese, like pepper jack for a spicier twist. A drizzle of hot sauce adds tang.
