  • 24 pieces pretzel sticks Serve as stir sticks.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease three 12-count mini muffin pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Devil's Food cake mix, eggs, canola oil, and black food coloring (if desired). Stir until well incorporated.
Baking
  1. Scoop about 1/2 tablespoon of dough into each cavity of the mini muffin pan and flatten slightly to create a base.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are set. Press the back of a tablespoon into each cookie to create an indentation while still warm.
  3. Let the cookie cups cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Making the Frosting
  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until light and creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until smooth.
  2. Incorporate milk tablespoon by tablespoon until the frosting reaches a pipeable consistency. Add green food coloring to achieve desired shade.
Assembly
  1. Pipe the green buttercream into the cooled cookie cups, filling generously to resemble a bubbling cauldron potion.
  2. Sprinkle green and Halloween sprinkles on top. Place candy eyeballs on each cup and insert pretzel sticks as stir sticks.
  3. Serve and enjoy at your Halloween parties!

Notes

Consider adding gummy worms or colored frosting for more creativity. Ensure the butter is soft enough for easy creaming.
