Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Beef Birria (broth with meat) This savory broth is the heart of the dish, packed with rich, aromatic flavors and tender, juicy pieces of beef.
  • 2 3-ounce packages instant ramen noodles These noodles transform into a creamy and chewy base, ready to soak up all the delightful broth.
  • to taste Scallions (sliced) Adding a fresh crunch and subtle flavor.
  • to taste Cilantro (chopped) Brings a refreshing and zesty touch.
  • to taste Radishes (sliced) Provide a wonderful contrast in every bite.
  • to taste Lime wedges Enhance the flavors with a zesty brightness.
  • to taste Jalapeno (sliced) Add a kick that can be adjusted to your taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the beef birria over medium-high heat until it reaches a gentle simmer. Once it simmers, cover it and lower the heat to keep it warm.
  2. While the birria is warming, cook the instant ramen noodles according to the package directions, being sure to discard the seasoning packets as they won’t be needed for this recipe.
  3. Once cooked, drain the noodles and divide them equally between two serving bowls. Pour the warm birria broth over the noodles, ensuring they are well immersed and soaking up all the flavors.
  4. Top the ramen with tender chunks of beef, freshly sliced scallions, chopped cilantro, crispy radishes, lime wedges, and jalapeno slices.
  5. Serve hot, and enjoy the medley of comforting ramen paired with the bold spices of birria!

Notes

Use homemade birria for a better experience. Adjust spice levels by omitting or reducing jalapenos for a milder dish. You can add crumbled queso fresco or Monterey Jack cheese for creaminess.
