Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups precooked shredded chicken breast Juicy and tender, this chicken forms the hearty base for your flatbread.
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce A sweet and tangy sauce that elevates the dish.
  • 2 large flatbreads Each weighing about 134 grams.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Adds a rich, decadent layer of flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, toss the precooked chicken with ½ cup of BBQ sauce and set aside the remaining ¼ cup of BBQ sauce.
  3. Spread the reserved ¼ cup of BBQ sauce evenly over the two flatbreads.
Assembly
  1. Distribute the BBQ chicken evenly over each flatbread.
  2. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over each flatbread.
Baking
  1. Place the flatbreads directly on the racks of your preheated oven or on a baking sheet and bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the flatbreads are crispy on the bottom and the cheese is fully melted.
  2. Remove from oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

To add flavor, consider adding finely chopped red onions or jalapeños on top before baking. Brush the edges with olive oil for an extra crispy crust.
