Preparation
- Begin by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Add fresh tortellini and cook them for a few minutes shorter than the package instructions.
- Carefully drain the tortellini and pat gently with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- In a large mixing bowl, place drained tortellini. Pour oil over the top and mix gently to ensure all pieces are coated.
- Add parmesan cheese and toss again until all tortellini are evenly covered.
Cooking
- Remove the basket from your air fryer and lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- Lay the tortellini in a single layer without overlapping. Set air fryer to 360°F and cook for about 7-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving
- Transfer crispy tortellini to a plate and let cool for a couple of minutes. If using marinara sauce, heat separately and serve alongside.
- Garnish with extra parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Experiment with spices like garlic powder or Italian seasoning for added flavor. For dipping sauces, consider ranch, Alfredo, or homemade tomato basil.
