Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 large green cabbage leaves Fresh and vibrant, these leaves provide a robust base for a crunchy snack.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Adds savory depth, making your chips aromatic and delicious.
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder Brings richness to your bites.
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika Offers a hint of smokiness to enhance the overall taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances the flavors and makes every crunchy bite tastier.
  • nonstick cooking spray Ensures that your chips crisp up beautifully without sticking.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by spraying the trays of your air fryer with nonstick cooking spray and set them aside for later use.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well so that all spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Carefully cut out the rib of the cabbage leaves and chop the leaves into large pieces. The thinner the leaf, the crispier your chips will be.
  4. Lay the raw cabbage pieces in a single layer on the air fryer tray. Lightly spray each piece with cooking spray, then flip them over and spray that side too.
  5. Sprinkle your seasoned mixture evenly over the cabbage pieces. For a more thorough coating, mix the pieces in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the spices, tossing until fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Set the air fryer to 250°F and cook for 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the chips towards the end to achieve a golden brown and crispy texture.
Serving
  1. Once done, remove the chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly. They are best enjoyed fresh.

Notes

For added flavor, you can include a pinch of cayenne pepper or try other spices like nutritional yeast. Always slice cabbage leaves thinly for an even cook.
