Preparation
- Begin by spraying the trays of your air fryer with nonstick cooking spray and set them aside for later use.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well so that all spices are evenly distributed.
- Carefully cut out the rib of the cabbage leaves and chop the leaves into large pieces. The thinner the leaf, the crispier your chips will be.
- Lay the raw cabbage pieces in a single layer on the air fryer tray. Lightly spray each piece with cooking spray, then flip them over and spray that side too.
- Sprinkle your seasoned mixture evenly over the cabbage pieces. For a more thorough coating, mix the pieces in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the spices, tossing until fully coated.
Cooking
- Set the air fryer to 250°F and cook for 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the chips towards the end to achieve a golden brown and crispy texture.
Serving
- Once done, remove the chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly. They are best enjoyed fresh.
Notes
For added flavor, you can include a pinch of cayenne pepper or try other spices like nutritional yeast. Always slice cabbage leaves thinly for an even cook.
