Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • ½ head medium head of cabbage (about 5" in diameter, sliced into 4 wedges) The star of the dish, cabbage has a crisp texture and subtle sweetness that becomes wonderfully tender in the air fryer.
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil This rich oil helps to crisp up the cabbage while adding a delicious heartiness to the flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced) Aromatic and zesty, garlic infuses each bite with a delightful savory punch.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for enhancing the natural flavors of the cabbage and balancing out the dish.
  • ½ teaspoon pepper Adds a gentle heat that complements the sweetness of the cabbage beautifully.
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning A fragrant blend of herbs that brings an extra dimension of taste to the dish.
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese This creamy cheese adds a nutty richness, melting slightly while providing a satisfying crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (approx. 5 minutes).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Mix well until blended.
  3. In a large bowl, take the cabbage wedges and pour the olive oil and seasoning mixture over them. Toss gently to coat.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated cabbage wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through (after about 10 minutes) for even cooking.
Serving
  1. Once the cabbage is tender and golden, taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the seasoning mixture. Experiment with different cheese varieties for a unique flavor twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating in the air fryer for 5 minutes.
