Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup ripe bananas (about 2 bananas) Use juicy, well-ripened bananas for natural sweetness.
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter Pairs beautifully with bananas adding richness.
  • 2 cups rolled oats Provides chewiness and helps bind the bars.
  • ⅔ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Add more if desired for extra sweetness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the creamy peanut butter to the mashed bananas and stir well to combine.
  4. Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, smoothing out the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Ripe bananas provide the best sweetness and moisture. Consider personalizing with nuts or seeds. Keep an eye on baking time to avoid overbaking.
